.... I give.... I don't want a real life lover any more.... it finaly happend and I got hurt again . It was bound to happen I was told... and I've managed to make 2 friends mad over my clinging to this one person.... but now its over... and I give up. I always felt true love existed but, how can one preach what one doesn't know anything about. I was found wrong and I have no right to push my ideals..... so I give. MY resolve is broke, as is my hope and I threw all my chips away this last time in hopes of a mirical that I couldn't get. my mirical lasted me long enough.... and it was the greatest one of my life.... probly will be for the rest of my life. well... thats enough of my self centered foulary. I hope you all find true love if its real.... cuase ovously.... fate denies me it

Tales of Elemental Evolution: Heros!?!?!?! ((part 2))

When they finally dug into the meal, Akina stuck to the fruits and breads while Merco went for a bit more variety. Brandon helped himself to the fattier greasy meats though a few of the leaner meats were an exception to the rule. Blaze was Brandon's exact opposite, choosing the lean meats over the greasy ones but, despite their difference in tastes, they both fought heavily over the ribs. Rika's selections differed only slightly from Blaze's in that she had piled some fruit onto her plate and she steered clear of the fatty cuts of meat.

Well into the meal Rika stood and tapped her glass to get everyone's attention, deciding that now, when the edge had been taken off their appetites, was the time to get down to business. Everyone quieted and looked up at Rika, watching her place her hands palm-side down on the table and lean forward, a fiery look in her eyes. "The reason why I payed for this meal and gathered you all here was to announce our next destination. I need to pick up something from a temple at the top of the mountains just north of here."

Brandon swallowed a massive chunck of meat and shouted, "Hell freakin' NO!! One I hate snow, and two there isn't a thing in it for me. I'm not going to freeze my black ass off so you can pick up some damn trinket!"

Rika's eyes flared up like hot coals in a smith's workshop. Even though Blaze agreed with Brandon as far as the cold he couldn't help but think fast to avoid an argument and to go with Rika. "Will there be treasure?"

Rika, eyes still gleaming at Brandon, nodded and then looked at Blaze as her fury started to subside. "Why ask?"

"There you go B. Think of it. Mounds of gold, jewels and treasure. Think of the money and--" Blaze's tone softened so only Brandon could hear, "--think of all the women and weapons you could tinker with. Not to mention the bling bling you could get. Just remember how your little sack of money is almost empty right now..."

Brandon stroked his chin and then smiled. "A'ight, let's do it then!" Rika and Blaze grinned. They all agreed to leave the next morning for the little trip up the mountain and to a good load of treasure.

Tales of Elemental Evolution: Heros!?!?!?! ((part 1))

As the sun began to set over a peaceful village, torches along the outsides of the houses were lit to chase away the night's shadows. At a small table placed outside a restaurant sat a boy of about 17 who had dirty blond hair that was spiked back, giving it the appearance of flames. His lightly tanned skin brought out the color of his deep gray-blue eyes. The boy wore a pair of black pants and a white t-shirt that shone blue in the dim light. Over that he wore a black cape-like coat that had no pockets. Around his neck hung a silver necklace and, from the simple chain, hung a coin-sized piece of metal with a strange symbol carved into it.

"Blaze!" came a call from afar as the boy's head hit the table. He heaved a deep groaning sigh as the call came again.

"I'm coming Akina!" he answered, rising to his feet. As he stood, the necklace caught and reflected the light from the restaurant. The street he looked down seemed crowded with people but, in truth, the traffic was light as that day happened to be market day and most everyone was buying goods in the marketplace which was located toward the center of the village. Before the waiter who was walking by him could blink, the boy was off, leaving behind a generous amount of gold and gems to pay for the drink that he had left unfinished on the table.

The pace he set was inhuman and the way he dodged around the people milling about the street made it seem as if he were moving at normal speed and all the people were simply standing still. He let out a sigh and smiled slightly as he passed by a tall figure with dark skin.

"Don't make your lover wait now, Blaziepoo," the figure called, a grin splitting his face. Blaze stopped and turned, giving the person a dirty glare.

"She ain't my lover, Brandon," he said, managing to maintain his scowl for only a moment before cracking a smile.

"Yeah, whatever you say Blaziepoo," Brandon replied in a cocky tone meant to tease. He stood something like six feet five inches tall. His body wasn't very well built but he looked good in his loose-fitting shorts and shirt accented by a small gold chain. As he talked with Blaze his brown eyes trailed after any good looking girls that happened to pass by. They both smirked then Blaze turned away, lifting a hand up into the air in a gesture of farewell.

"Rika needs us for somethin' at the Inn later. See you there," Blaze said before taking off down the street again, as fast as ever. Brandon smirked, watching at Blaze's back draft made a few girls' skirts fly up.

At length, Blaze came to the most open area closest to the market. He looked over at the whole village center, an area equal to ten city blocks, that was filled with shops that carried anything one could possibly want. Suddenly, a figure blurred in beside him, easily keeping up with his pace. The figure had dirty blond hair like him except the color was much lighter. It also had fox ears, a strange pair of fangs and startling ocean blue eyes.

"Here Rika, just like I promised." He handed her a bag full of gems and coins like he had left on the table outside the restaurant. The fox demon smiled and launched herself up into the air, her clothing fluttering in the wind. Blaze seemed to melt, seeing her land near the marketplace. He paused and watched her as she disappeared into the crowd. It seemed as if he were just a soothing spark that was out-shone and warmed by a larger, more glamorous flame. He sighed and shook off his reverie, starting once more toward the point where Akina's call had come from.

When he arrived, he found himself in the presence of two teenage girls standing under a bakery sigh. Blaze sighed as he turned toward the shorter of the two girls and smiled lightly. She was a little shorter than him, her flowing brown hair streaked with blond. Her figure teased any man who happened to look her way. She smiled back at him and the action seemed to carry into her eyes, making them light up.

"Hey Akina. What do you need?"

She gave him a pouty look. As Blaze sighed she smiled. "Can I get a few pieces so Merco and I can get some food?" Blaze sank down and stared at the taller girl who was just about his height. Her face held more of an icy, serious look than Akina's did and her hair was cut short. Her clothing had a rather..uptight look to it in comparison with Akina's. Merco wore a longsleeve shirt and some loose slacks while Akina wore a pair of tight-fitting shorts and an equally tight-fitting shirt.

Blaze nearly scowled as he studied the taller of the two girls before finally looking away from them both altogether. "Sure, but this is for you not her. You might want to save some room, though. Rika wants us at the Inn later and somethin' tells me she'll have dinner waiting. Well, see ya there," Blaze said, starting to walk away. Merco opened her mouth to complain about his attitude but it was too late. He had already disappeared through the crowd.

Later on that night the lights shone brightly in the kitchen of the Black Salty Balls Inn. Inside sat the 5 friends at a large table heaped with food. The dishes ranged from large hams to a small bowl of apples. Chickens, ribs, steaks, fruits, fine wines and Ale filled out the center of the food spectrum.

Rika sat at one end of the table counting what was left of her gems while Blaze and Brandon sat next to each other, drooling and wondering what would best suit their palettes. Blaze stared at a small Rock Carnish Hen as Brandon eyed the ribs, the greed of his hunger shining in his eyes.
